Additional Info

Goal of the Project:This challenge is to create the SLOWEST car that you can, using geartrains.

Everyone will have the same motor commands (on, full power) and we will see which car travels forward the slowest (the car must be traveling forward at all times).

Hardware and Programming: You will only use parts from your LEGO MINDSTORMS Kit. You will be programming your robot in NxT-G and must program the motor(s) in your car to be “on” with full power (100).

Assignment:Your robot must be moving forward at all times (e.g. can’t run motors but not have them connected).

While this is mostly a building exercise, please work sensors into your project (and code):there should be one sensor type that “starts” the motors (e.g. start your program, wait for sensor) and another, different sensor type that “stops” the motors and ends the program. In this way, we can have a “timed” race where all robots start and stop at the same time based on your sensor inputs.
