A Brief primer on Bluetooth
To connect
the two units together via Bluetooth follow these steps:
- Turn both
units on, and make sure bluetooth is enabled on both, and that both
are set to 'visible'( Top Menu-Bluetooth Menu: Visibility-Visible; Bluetooth-On)
- On both
units, select Channel 1 as the connection channel ( Bluetooth-Connections-
1)
- Make sure
that both units have no other units on their contact list. If they do,
remove them from the list ( Bluetooth- My Contacts- Select Unit--Delete
).You should see a < sign in the upper left corner of both units.
- Decide
which unit is to be the master controller unit( which transmits ) and
which is the slave ( which receives) .
- On the
controller unit: navigate to Bluetooth -> Search
A search diagram will appear on the screen, be patient while the search
progresses.
- When the
menu reappears select the receiver unit by name from the list. and then
select connection slot #1.
- A connection
screen will appear, again be patient as it says "Connecting".
- You will
be prompted for a passkey on both units. Enter the same key on both
and press enter to confirm. Leaving the default of 1234 is perfectly
acceptable. Although you should be aware this is the kind of combination
an idiot would put on his luggage.
- At this
point you should see the receiver unit displayed with a small '1' in
the upper left corner. Select it one last time and then back out to
the main menu.
- You should
see a tiny diamond in the upper left corner.
To test:
- On Controller
Unit: Go to My Files- select a file- send ( little envelope-- should
say "sending"
- On Receiver
Unit: The transmitted file should now appear under "My files".
