The construction of frames starts with the erection of columns
Some frames have a vertical frame supporting vertical loads and a concrete core resisting lateral forces from wind and earthquake.( Levy and Salvadori)
A tensegrity structures is comprised of columns providing strength in compression and cables providing strength in tension.
